By candle light
I love this time of year when the temperature starts to drop and the leaves turn beautiful autumnal colours. It makes you want to curl up under a blanket, lighting a few candles as the days start getting darker earlier.
I’ve recently added to my vast candle collection this beautiful Etch candle holder from Tom Dixon the stunning laser cut metal cage creates a lovely pattern when lit. I can’t wait to enjoy the winter evenings with this beauty.
Candles shouldn’t just be about the flickering flame but the holder itself should be a winner, I’ve collected together a few of my current favorites to enjoy this winter.
These geometric brass ‘Hex’ candle stick holders from Alex Allen Studio are beautiful objects alone and simply shine when paired with a candle.
Concrete and metal together has always appealed to me and when I came across the ‘Crowd’ collection from David Taylor I was immediately drawn to this blue number. I would definitely recommend the rest of the collection they are all like little art pieces in their own right.
One of Hay’s best seller is this modern take on the oil lamp, the elegant fold of copper creates a lovely shape, for any contemporary Wee Willie Winkles.
Marble is the silk of the stone world, and these ‘Chunk’ candle holders from Menu are just as smooth and good looking as any silk scarf.
Don’t forget tea lights too, these geometric metal pillars from John Lewis are perfect for any table top.
Now the candles are taken care of all I need now is to find some wooly jumpers!

What a gorgeous selection of candle holders. I don’t much like proper candles but I love tea lights. That geometric one from John Lewis is going straight on my lust list.
